UPDATES ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF QUARANTINE AND 
MEDICAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR INDIVIDUALS ARRIVING IN VIET NAM FROM REGIONS AFFECTED BY COVID-19
1. Viet Nam temporarily suspends : (i) Entry into the country for all foreign nationals (tourists, passengers holding family visit/student/ordinary visas) coming from or passing through Schengen Area, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland within a 14-day period prior to their expected entry into Viet Nam; (ii) Granting on-arrival visas.
The above-mentioned restrictions shall be effective for 30 days starting from 12:00 PM (noon) on March 15, 2020 (Vietnam local time) and are NOT APPLICABLE to passengers travelling to Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes.

2. Foreign nationals who are experts, business managers and skilled workers are allowed to enter Vietnam but shall be subjected to medical checks upon entry and shall also be required to take appropriate medical precautionary measures at their places of work and residence as deemed necessary.

3. Quarantine is mandatory for all travellers coming from or transiting through Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, China, South Korea and Iran. Domestic transportation and other arrangements shall be provided by local authorities for travellers subjected to mandatory quarantine. 

4. Effective from March 16, 2020, all travellers arriving in and departing from Vietnam are required to wear face masks throughout both the inward and outward flights and upon their entry/exit. All individuals need to wear face masks at public places with large gatherings (shopping malls, airports, metro, bus, railway stations, other public ​transportation, etc).
